More on the Titanic

So this was a traveling exhibit that happened to stop in Broomfield this week. It's traveling around the country, so it could be coming to a shopping mall parking lot near you! And it's free! They have about 50 artifacts recovered from the Titanic on display. Before you enter the exhibit, they give you a boarding pass with details about one of the people who was on the Titanic. Then when you get to the end of the exhibit you find out if you survived or not.

The night before we went we read the Magic Treehouse book about the Titanic, which was helpful to the kids. It was pretty eerie looking at some of that stuff, knowing it's been on the bottom of the ocean and belonged to people who died so tragically. Rebecca's person was on his honeymoon and didn't survive. Eva was a 21-year-old heiress, so she made it out okay. Spencer was a 36-year-old third-class passenger, so he didn't make it.
