This is the "Wide Right" project in the class Ben TAs for this semester. The kids and I went to watch tennis balls get catapulted through goal post uprights. There were about 30 teams and all kinds of interesting designs. The guy in camouflage got down on his knees and hugged his machine when his tennis ball went through the goal posts.
Spencer's car "The Golden Man" was a solid contender at the Pinewood Derby two weeks ago. I'm starting a new chapter in my life: T-ball coach. Ben and Eva went on a date yesterday to practice catching and hitting.
The picture below deserves a story. We have a housebound elderly neighbor across the street, and this morning the kids took her some Easter treats. She didn't realize that today was Easter. A little while later, Spencer heard Ginny calling to him from across the street. Spencer went to see what she needed and came running back home, saying, "Girls, come on, Ginny has something she wants to give us." The kids all went running across the street and came home with a very unique Easter gift. It was a Kleenex box with carefully arranged paper towels inside. The paper towels said, "Happy Easter!" in shaky writing. Nestled in the paper towels were three bananas. I think I will always think of Ginny and bananas on Easter from now on.
Here's our little Glam girl who has recently discovered sponge curlers. The older ladies at church tell her that they used to curl their hair just like that when they were kids.

Watch who you're calling "older ladies"! I use to use the sponge curlers too!
So are you coaching Eva's team?
I know, I know, Kate. I use to use sponge rollers, too. And yes, I am going to coach Eva's team, but it doesn't start until the beginning of June. Which will give me time to figure out what I'm doing. Hopefully.
